The beginning of the term started off to a quick start; We began by having a brief overview of the term, and the styles and pathways of research/theory we were going to be focusing on over the next few months.
We were given numerous inspirational quotes and idea preparations - to get us all in the mood and into the swing of creating and producing work again, after the time we had off during the christmas break.
We were given a brief overview and description of the 'Innovation and Entrepreneurship' elements of the course; Being, that we would be separated into small groups - and produce an almost 'finished, collaborative artistic business idea/production', producing a collaborative polished website and social media platform - ideas/physical research evidence/surveys/interviews/questionnaires and even physical trials of your business as a small launch.
We also went through all the term dates, formatives and summatives, including breaks that will occur during the term - so that we were all fully up to date on all the accessible information we needed, before exploring further into the styles and primary stages of idea mapping, by watching a few short informational clips on - producing a business, and how to portray yourself as an individual and also, touching upon the Huddersfield Blueprint.
After being thoroughly showered with information, we were all given the opportunity for questions, and then broke of slightly early.
- A throughrouhgly immersive first lesson, coving everything we needed to know - and quite exciting really! This term looks like it's going to be really interactive and cool! Im looking forward to what I am going to be involved in!
