Wednesday 5th February 2020, 9:00AM, Session three - in other words 'hot and stuffy' haha - (due to the room change);
Todays session started off with exploring professionalism within 'entrepreneurship'. Primarily starting the session off with something motivational, which was motivational and inspirational youtube clips which showed business men and women speaking to the camera, offering 'tips' and 'skills' to improve group collaborations - while incorporating the 'Myers Briggs' personality test.
'Group work' being the key term here - we EACH have a responsibility to input on our group collaboration, and join in and be a part of what we produce - and one platform to help us with this style of work is 'Yammer.com' an online boardroom/style platform we could all use to discuss our ideas and upload any work of images we feel would be beneficial to our workshop? - just an idea.
Image below, denoting todays handwritten notes - starting on the right hand side of the notebook;
We then, focused our attention to website design; exploring what website platforms need to contain and express. Such as;
"When producing the website structure, fluidity, style and context is key. Always include relevant background information about 'us', 'yourself', and who we are - and everything to do with your ideas and team project."
- An Interactive and FUN website, is key.
- Include information and descriptive text, etc.
- Always utilise other company websites as creative inspiration.
- Include direct web-links to our personal blogs.
- Include 'Contact Us' page, with our personal emails and method of contacts.
We were then, given until the end of the sessions - to come together again, as a group, and have another chance to discuss our ideas further and materialise what our nexts steps are; Notes shown below on the left: -
Points of importance that I had decided to note down, were as follows;
- Utilising our main group theme/idea; (Short task) Carry out some of my own research - and produce and uncover some personal ideas that I can bring forward next week - individually pitch all our ideas together as a group, this will allow for us to find some common ground between our own individual idea paths - a correlating link.
- We need to produce a personal profile; Including - An image of yourself (Preferably 'an action shot' of you in practice), include a short bio - including all your creative skills - similarly to a CV, also include web-links to your own personal blogs & websites.
- Exploring [Potential spaces] in which to hold our 'event', possible exploring the route of a 'living guardianship' with the council? Some ideas were, abandoned/empty Mills - Similarly to 'The Globe in Slaithwaite, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire' - But there were far too many health and safety risk to go with this idea - we need to continue exploring more ideas!
- We decided on a group - that times for us to continue exploring and refining all our ideas together as a group, would be held on - WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS - straight after Wednesday morning seminar sessions, starting next week!
Which is, unfortunately when the duration of the mornings session came to and end.
Until next week!
